Tottenham Hotspur media round-up: Dele Alli suggests Pochettino is the key

A round up of news stories this morning related to Tottenham Hotspur.

Tottenham Hotspur owned Dele Alli has been quoted by the Daily Mirror suggesting Mauricio Pochettino is going to be crucial to his development.

Alli says the key for any young player is having a manager who shows that belief in young talent.

Pochettino has nailed his colours to the mast throughout the season, using a number of player to have graduated through Tottenham’s academy system.

“You need a manager that believes in you and shows that he believes in you by playing you,” he said.

Harry Kane has been quoted by ESPN refusing to rest on reaching the landmark of 30 goals in all competitions for the club.

Kane has been in fine form and reached the milestone over the weekend in the win against Newcastle United.

He’s not showing any signs of taking his foot off of the gas over the rest of the Premier League season.

“The season doesn't finish here, though. There are still five more games left and I'll be trying to get on the scoresheet in as many of those games and get as many wins as we can,” he said.

The Daily Mail reported that Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane was the best performing player in the Premier League over the weekend.

The forward came out on top in the latest EA Sports Performance Index rankings ahead of teammate Christian Eriksen.

He was also ahead of Chelsea’s attacking star Eden Hazard.
