The Nottingham Forest youngsters are going strong in the 2014–15 Professional U21 Development League.

Nottingham Forest winger Oliver Burke has taken to social networking site Twitter to revel in the Under-21 side’s victory in the Under-21 league.

The Reds clinched the 2014–15 Professional Development League Two North title on Monday afternoon.

Huddersfield Town’s failure to defeat Leeds United means that Forest were crowed champions before their final game against Barnsley away from home tonight.

The Nottingham-based side are currently at the top of the table with 52 points from 25 matches, five points clear of second-placed Huddersfield.

The title triumph delighted 18-year-old winger Burke, who posted the following message on Twitter.

Forest first-team star Gary Gardner, on loan from Premier League club Aston Villa, replied to Burke’s message, and the duo had a bit of banter.

The Forest Under-21 side will now take part in the end-of-season playoffs in order to win the Professional Development U21 League 2 championship.
