One of Liverpool's players has reflected on their FA Cup defeat against Aston Villa.
The Reds went ahead courtesy of the in-form Philippe Coutinho but goals from Christian Benteke and Fabian Delph gave Tim Sherwood’s side the win and ensured Liverpool would end the season without a trophy.
Toure was an unused substitute at Wembley and given that he is out of contract at the end of the season, it would be no surprise if he has played his last match in the red of Liverpool.
Following their defeat, the 34-year-old said, “You feel bad. It is always difficult when you lose a semi-final like that. Collectively we were not very good.”
It is an honest assessment of the game, in which Villa shone and were deserving winners, but the result leaves many questions unanswered at Liverpool.
The future of Brendan Rodgers is one such conundrum, with a number of players also likely to leave in the summer.
Given his age, contract situation and with the other defenders currently ahead of him in the pecking order, Toure may well be heading any queue for the exit, willingly or otherwise.
