Celtic assistant manager John Collins has suggested on the club’s official Twitter page that goalkeeper Craig Gordon has not been affected by his dismissal on Sunday.
Gordon’s dismissal was one of the reasons why Celtic failed to win the tie, but Collins has suggested that the former Sunderland star is not taking it hard.
“Craig Gordon is good, trained today and back to his usual brilliant self,” the Scot told Celtic’s official Twitter account.
Gordon must have been disappointed with himself for his role in the 3-2 extra-time defeat, but it seems that he has moved on.
As a professional, the Scotland international cannot dwell on such disappointment for too long, and he appears to be focused on Celtic’s upcoming matches.
Gordon is one of the best players in the Scottish Premiership, and he will be determined to compensate for his part in Sunday’s defeat.
It may be easy for some to point the finger at the former Heart of Midlothian star for the loss to Inverness, but over the course of the season, he has made many saves which have secured valuable points for Celtic.
