Tottenham Hotspur media round-up: Pochettino on the 'big potential' of Harry Kane

A round up of news stories this morning related to Tottenham Hotspur.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has been quoted by the Daily Mail suggesting striker Harry Kane has more to give.

Kane scored his 30th goal of the season yesterday across all competitions, as he netted in the 3-1 win against Newcastle.

He has been Tottenham’s stand out player this season, producing consistent performances throughout the campaign.

“He has big potential. He is young and this is his first full season in the first team. We need to push him to try to improve his level because he has the potential to improve,” said the boss.

Kane has been quoted by the Daily Express playing down the significance of the landmark, focusing on the rest of the season.

He’ll now be targeting Gary Lineker’s record of 35 goals in a single season for the club and he’s got a good chance of pulling off the landmark with five games to go in Tottenham’s season.

“I’m very proud to reach 30, but there are five games left and hopefully I’ll get a few more goals,” said Kane.

Tottenham Hotspur owned Dele Alli has been named the Football League’s Young Player of the Year for the 2014/2015 season, as reported by the MK Dons website.

The teenager has been in superb form with 16 goals for his loan side the MK Dons in League One so far this season.

He’ll link up with Tottenham for pre-season ahead of the 2015/2016 campaign.
