According to the Daily Mail, Aston Villa are keeping tabs on Cordoba striker Florin Andone - but may have to pay a hefty price to sign him.
Villa are in great spirits after Sunday's 2-1 FA Cup semi-final win over Liverpool, and whilst Tim Sherwood can now look forward to the final against Arsenal next month, he still has to work on keeping the club in the Premier League.
If Sherwood does indeed guide Villa to Premier League survival, reinforcements will be needed in the transfer market - particularly up front.
Christian Benteke may have hit goalscoring form since Sherwood's arrival, but there isn't much behind the Belgian in terms of depth up front.
It's therefore little surprise to see that the Daily Mail believe Villa are interested in signing Cordoba striker Florin Andone this summer, in a bid to add more firepower.
The Romanian, 22, has spent his career in Spain with Castellon, Villarreal and now Cordoba, and despite only featuring 15 times this season, he has managed to find the net five times.
The Daily Mail believe that Cordoba are looking for a fee of £6m for the striker, but with the club currently lying bottom of the La Liga table and eight points adrift of safety, they may have to lower that asking price if they are relegated this summer.
That could be of interest to Villa, with the Daily Mail suggesting that Villa's scouts have been impressed with Andone this season.
