Sunderland goalkeeper Vito Mannone is expected to leave the club this summer, according to the Chronicle.
Mannone has lost his place as Sunderland's number one stopper this season, due to the form of Costel Pantilimon, and he now reportedly wants to head elsewhere to gain first-team football.
The Italian feels that he still has a lot to offer and he has seemingly become frustrated with being an understudy this season.
What would the impact of losing Mannone be for Sunderland?
Although Mannone's departure would not directly worsen Sunderland's starting line-up it would still be a disappointment for Black Cats fans to lose him.
Mannone was voted the club's Player of the Season for the 2013-14 campaign and he clearly has the ability to play in the Premier League.
It is only because Pantilimon has been excellent ever since arriving that Mannone has not kept his place and he could have done little more during his time at the Stadium of Light.
If Mannone is looking to leave Sunderland this summer then there are likely to be a number of suitors and he will be fondly remembered by Black Cats fans.
