Rangers winger reacts on Twitter after U20 side exact revenge on Celtic counterparts

The Rangers Under-20 side defeated their Celtic counterparts 1-0 at Lennoxtown earlier tonight.

Rangers winger Fraser Aird has taken to social networking site Twitter to revel in the Under-20 side’s 1-0 victory over their Celtic counterparts.

Calum Gallagher’s strike in the third minute proved to be the difference between the two teams in the Development League clash at Lennoxtown.

Ian Durant’s side dominated for most of the game in which Newcastle United loanee Shane Ferguson made his first appearance for the club after five months out with a knee injury.

The Gers had lost the corresponding fixture 6-1 back in December, and this was some sort of a revenge for them over their bitter rivals.

Aird, who is only 20 years of age and is already a first-team member, started the encounter against Celtic and played for the entire 90 minutes.

After the match, the Scottish youngster made the following post on Twitter:

Celtic and Rangers are two of the biggest clubs in Scotland, and they are likely to resume their rivalry in the Scottish top flight next season.

Rangers are gunning for promotion to the Scottish Premiership via the Championship playoffs, and if they can do that, then they will be locking horns with the Bhoys once again.
