Kris Commons says that Celtic are determined to bounce back from the defeat to Inverness Caledonian Thistle with victory over Dundee in the Scottish Premiership.

Celtic attacking midfielder Kris Commons has told the club’s official website that he and his teammates are determined to return to winning ways in midweek.

The Bhoys will head into the Scottish Premiership clash against Dundee away from home on Wednesday on the back of a defeat in the Scottish Cup.

Ronny Deila’s side went down 3-2 to Premiership rivals Inverness Caledonian Thistle in the semi-finals of the tie at Hampden Park in Glasgow on Sunday.

It was an unexpected defeat for Celtic, as they were favourites to win heading into the encounter.

Commons has now urged his teammates to forget about the disappointment of the Cup and focus on winning against Dundee at Dens Park.

“We’ll be looking to bounce back, put in a good performance and win the match because we’ve still got a league title to win and that’s our main aim now, to win our remaining fixtures and win in style,” the 31-year-old told Celtic’s official website.

Celtic have recovered from disappointments before this season, and one suspects that they will do the same this time around as well.

The Hoops may have relinquished the chance to win the treble, but it will still be a successful season if they add the Scottish Premiership title to the Scottish League Cup they have already claimed.

Winning against Dundee away from home is not going to be easy, but Celtic do have better players with better qualities.

Deila has proven himself to be a very good motivator, and one suspects that he will make sure that his players are determined to give travelling fans a lot to cheer on Wednesday.
