Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Michel Vorm has told the London Evening Standard that the club's upcoming game against Southampton is going to be a 'special' one.
Tottenham take on Southampton this weekend and Vorm admits that Mauricio Pochettino's switch to White Hart Lane last summer makes the tie a more interesting one.
Pochettino left Southampton to join Spurs and Vorm insists that the whole team will be trying to get a result for their manager.
“It is a very big game on Saturday,” he said. “Everybody knows the history with the manager so it will be special. It is not going to be easy but we can take the confidence into the game. We need to at least make sure we do not lose but the best way to show that we are improving is to go there and win.”
Pochettino's move to Tottenham was initially a disappointing one for Southampton supporters, but it seems to have worked out well for both clubs.
The Argentine has developed many of Tottenham's younger players during his first season in charge, while Southampton have gone from strength to strength under the guidance of Ronald Koeman.
It means that when Tottenham and Southampton meet on Saturday there will be plenty to play for, with both teams looking to claim a place in the Europa League for next season.
