Richard Keys identifies a key problem at West Ham United

Sam Allardyce

West Ham United went down 2-0 to Manchester City away from home in the Premier League today.

Well-known sports presenter Richard Keys has taken to social networking site Twitter to urge the West Ham United board to sort things out.

The former Sky Sports presenter made the comments during the Hammers’ Premier League game against Manchester City earlier today.

Sam Allardyce’s lost yet again, as they went down 2-0 to the defending English champions at the Etihad Stadium.

An own goal from James Collins saw City take the lead as early as the 18th minute, and Argentina international striker Sergio Aguero secured the three points in the 36th minute.

It was a disappointing performance from West Ham, and Keys seems to suggest that it is due to the uncertainty over the future of Allardyce.

Allardyce’s current contract with West Ham runs out at the end of the season, and no new deal is in place.

Negotiations over a new contract will start in the summer, but one wonders if the West Ham bosses will be keen on retaining the services of the Englishman.

West Ham started the 2014-15 campaign brilliantly, but they started to faded away since Christmas and currently find themselves 10th in the league table.
