Newcastle United supporters are reportedly planning not to attend today’s Premier League game at St. James’ Park.

Micky Quinn has taken to social networking site Twitter to show his support for the Newcastle United fans who are planning to boycott today’s game.

According to ITV, Newcastle supporters will not attend the Premier League clash against Tottenham Hotspur at St. James’ Park.

It has been reported that the Magpies fans not happy with the team’s recent run of form and with club owner Mike Ashley’s reluctance to invest in new players.

Former Newcastle forward Quinn seems to believe that it is a good idea and made the following post on Twitter just a few minutes ago.

Newcastle will head into the encounter placed 14th in the Premier League table with 35 points from 32 matches, just seven points above the relegation zone.

If the fans do not turn up at St. James’ Park, then it will very tough for John Carver’s side to pick up even a point, and that is only going to make things tough for the team and could drag them into the relegation battle.
