According to ITV, Newcastle supporters will not attend the Premier League clash against Tottenham Hotspur at St. James’ Park this afternoon.
It has been reported that the Magpies fans not happy with the team’s recent run of form and with club owner Mike Ashley’s reluctance to invest in new players.
Former Newcastle forward Asprilla does not seem to be in favour of the idea and posted the following message on Twitter for the club’s fans.
When you are a true fan, you will always support you're team; in the good, in the BAD and in the great times. Go @NUFC total support.— Faustino Asprilla (@TinoasprillaH) April 19, 2015
John Carver’s side will head into the encounter placed 14th in the Premier League table with 35 points from 32 matches, just seven points above the relegation zone.
If the Newcastle fans do not attend the game at St. James’ Park today, then it will very tough for team to pick up even a point.
If Newcastle lose today, then they could get dragged into the relegation dogfight.
