The Belgian is being linked with a move to Tottenham this week.
It was a very eventful day for Kevin Mirallas. He scored the winning goal in the game and should probably have been sent off for a foul on George Boyd.
The Belgian winger spoke to Everton's official website after the game. In the interview he gave the firmest indication yet that he plans on staying with the club:
"A lot of people talk about my future but I like to play for Everton and I want to finish the season in my best form.
"After that, I'll talk with my partner, my chairman and manager but I am confident here and very happy to play for Everton."
The winger has been linked with a move away from Goodison Park for some time now. Just yesterday it was reported by the Mirror that Tottenham Hotspur were in pole position to sign the Belgian, who will want to play in Europe next season.
They claimed that Tottenham would even offer Everton current loanee Aaron Lennon as part of any deal.
Mirallas is one of Everton's better talents and would certainly be missed at the club, so these words will no doubt be of some comfort.
However, he still left an element of doubt in his comments - which will fail to convince some Everton fans that he will actually remain on Merseyside.
