Tottenham Hotspur will be looking to return to winning ways in the Premier League this afternoon when they take on Newcastle United away from home.

The North London outfit will head into the encounter on the back of a 1-0 defeat to Aston Villa at White Hart Lane.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side are currently seventh in the Premier League table with 54 points from 32 matches, seven points behind defending English champions Manchester City, who are fourth at the moment.

Meanwhile, Newcastle find themselves 14th in the league standings at the moment with 35 points from 32 games, just seven points above the relegation zone.

John Carver’s side have lost their last five Premier League matches and are in an abysmal run of form.

The Magpies are also struggling for goals at the moment, having scored just four times in their last nine fixtures.
