A Leeds United legends side will take part in a special match this weekend.
Some of Leeds United’s most famous players from the past will take to the field this afternoon in a benefit match for former player Brendan Ormsby.
The ex-skipper suffered a stroke in 2013 and this weekend’s match will raise funds both for him and for the charities he supports.
In three years at Elland Road, Orsmby made 57 appearances for Leeds and he has now helped to bring together some legends as they take on a John Sheridan XI at Throstle Nest today.
The Leeds legends squad has since been announced, with the likes of Lee Sharpe, Nigel Martyn and Gary Kelly all involved.
Former manager Simon Grayson is also involved while Chris Waddle is among the players featuring for the opposition.
