Celtic fans were not happy with Ronny Deila's decision to substitute James Forrest against Inverness.

Celtic's hopes of a treble in Ronny Deila's debut season have been ended after a surprise 3-2 loss to Inverness in the Scottish Cup semi-final.

The Bhoys have already clinched the Scottish League Cup trophy, and with the Scottish Premiership title a matter of games away from being Celtic's once again, the Scottish Cup was the biggest obstacle facing them as the season draws to a close.

Yet just a week after drawing against Inverness, they were beaten by Caley this time around in a dramatic affair at Hampden Park.

Virgil van Dijk gave Celtic the lead before Craig Gordon was sent off for upending Marley Watkins, with Greg Tansey converting the subsequent spot kick.

As the game went into extra time, Edward Ofere but Caley in front for the first time, only for John Guidetti to draw Celtic level again - before David Raven notched a late winner to take Inverness into the final of the Scottish Cup.

Celtic fans were obviously disappointed after the game, but many directed their frustrations at manager Deila for a substitution he made during the game.

After Gordon's sending off, Deila sacrificed winger James Forrest in order to bring on goalkeeper Lukasz Zaluska - a decision Celtic fans were not happy with.

Many believed that the young wide man was Celtic's brightest player, providing pace and direction out wide to trouble the Inverness defence, whilst also adding that it should have been Kris Commons heading off the pitch for Zaluska.

Here are some of the reactions from Celtic fans on Twitter after Deila's decision to substitute Forrest instead of Commons against Inverness...
