Andy Gray predicts Aston Villa v Liverpool

Aston Villa V Arsenal

Andy Gray looks ahead to today’s FA Cup semi-final tie between Aston Villa and Liverpool at London’s Wembley Stadium.

Andy Gray has predicted on Sport360.com that Aston Villa will reach the final of the FA Cup this season at the expense of Liverpool.

The former Villa striker believes that Tim Sherwood’s side are playing well enough to win the semi-final tie at London’s Wembley Stadium today.

“I am much happier with the way Villa are playing now,” Gray wrote on Sport360.com. “They believe in themselves again and although there is still a lot of work to be done I think they have enough to cause a bit of a shock and beat Liverpool 2-1.”

Could Andy Gray’s prediction come true?

Today’s semi-final tie is very hard to call, and although Liverpool will head into the game as favourites, one should not be surprised if Villa pick up the win.

The Villans will head into the encounter on the back of a 1-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur away from home at White Hart Lane in the Premier League.

Under Sherwood, Villa are a rejuvenated team and are playing with confidence, and one suspects that the players will be pumped up for the game at Wembley today.

However, there can be no denial that Liverpool have better quality and better players. If the Reds play the usual game, then they should be able to get the better of Villa without too much of a problem.
