Newcastle United winger Rolando Aarons has told the club’s official website that he has no plans to leave in the summer transfer window.
The 19-year-old has been on the books of the Premier League outfit since 2012 and has two more years left on his current contract.
“People speculate, that’s what you do on social media,” Aarons told Newcastle’s official website. “I am not really bothered.
“I still have two years left on my contract. I am working on my injury and I am almost back fit. I am happy at this club and I love the club, so I am fine really.
Aarons’s comments about his future will certainly come as good news for the Newcastle fans, who will know that they will have at least one very good youngster in the team in the coming years.
The 19-year-old has struggled with injuries this season, but he is rated very highly and is said to have a bright future.
The young winger made a strong start to the 2014-15 campaign and was expected to enjoy a breakthrough season, but a long-term injury soon put flight to that idea.
However, Aarons is nearing full fitness, and if he gets a good pre-season, then he could well establish himself as a key player for the Newcastle first team in the 2015-16 campaign.
