Michael Owen has predicted in his Betvictor.com column that Arsenal will progress to the final of the FA Cup this season at the expense of Reading.
Premier League giants Arsenal will take on Championship outfit Reading in the semi-finals of the prestigious competition at London’s Wembley Stadium this evening.
The Gunners will head into the encounter as favourites, and former Manchester United and Liverpool striker Owen expects Arsene Wenger’s side to emerge victorious.
“Arsenal arrive in exceptional form searching for a ninth successive win in all competitions and Arsene Wenger’s side should out-class their Championship rivals, in the first of this weekend’s two FA Cup semi-finals,” the 35-year-old wrote on Betvictor.com.
A footnote added: “Michael’s recommendation: Arsenal to win and both teams to score at 19/10 with BetVictor”.
Could Michael Owen’s prediction come true?
Many football followers will back Owen’s prediction of the FA Cup tie, and it will be a surprise if Arsenal slip up.
The North London outfit have won their last eight Premier League matches and will be huge favourites.
Arsenal have been the better side and have one of the best players in Europe in Alexis Sanchez, who has been shortlisted for the PFA Player of the Year award.
However, the Gunners cannot become complacent and must make sure not to concede an early goal.
One suspects that the Reading players will be pumped up for the game at Wembley, and they will be determined to put on a good show.
