Newcastle United have an awful lot to thank the striker for this season.
Newcastle's struggles have been well documented of late. As well as the strong possibility swarms of fans will boycott the St James' Park outfit's Premier League clash with Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday afternoon, the Magpies would be bottom of the table based on their recent results.
Not only that, however, it turns out Newcastle would be dead bottom of the Premier League in terms of their whole campaign if it were not for the goals of star striker Papiss Cisse.
Cisse has struggled for fitness this season, with knee injuries aplenty holding him back. He was also recently suspended for spitting at Manchester United's Jonny Evans - an incident that has really held Newcastle's season back.
They were in poor form before that, though, and things have gone from bad to worse.
Imagine where the Magpies would be without their main striker?
The 29-year-old has been their saviour this term (and plenty of times before) and, judging by the incredible statistics, it is not too much of a conclusion to jump to in saying he has kept Newcastle in the Premier League single-handedly.
