Reading and Arsenal go head-to-head this afternoon in the first of the weekend’s FA Cup semi-final clashes.
The Gunners are the current trophy holders while Reading are looking to reach the final of this great competition for the very first time.
Games between the two sides have been exciting in recent times, with a remarkable 24 goals scored in the last three matches between them, but anyone hoping for a shock may be out of luck.
Anything can happen in these matches but Arsenal are on a brilliant run of form and they have also defeated Reading in all of their 12 encounters to date.
That said, the Championship side have a good recent record against opponents from a higher division, losing just three of their last eight such meetings. But they will have to be at their very best to reach the final ahead of Arsene Wenger’s men.
