The Wanderers were looking to return to winning ways in the Championship this afternoon when they took on Ipswich at home.
Kenny Jackett’s side went 1-0 behind midway through the first half when Richard Stearman headed into his own goal.
However, Wolves restored parity in the encounter at Molineux five minutes into the second period when Afobe found the target for the 31st time in all competitions this season.
Over the course of the 90 minutes, Wolves had 56% of the possession, took 12 shots of which one was on target, and earned eight corners.
The former Arsenal striker was disappointed with the final result and posted the following message on Twitter after full time:
Draw isn't what we wanted but we're still fighting until the end! Thank you to all the fans for the great support. pic.twitter.com/uqqpSOpSQC— Benik Afobe (@Afobe_) April 18, 2015
The draw with Ipswich means that Wolves are now eighth in the Championship table with 72 points from 44 matches, three points off the final playoff spot.
