A selection of the latest stories in the media involving Tottenham Hotspur this Friday evening.

Tottenham Hotspur are still sweating on the fitness of three key players ahead of this weekend's trip to Newcastle United in the Premier League, according to the official website.

Hugo Lloris is still recovering from a knee injury he sustained prior to the international break last month, Kyle Walker is struggling with a foot injury and Jan Vertonghen has been absent recently through illness.

Head Coach Mauricio Pochettino said: "We have another training session tomorrow and we will then assess their levels, see how they are and make a decision.”

Striker Harry Kane has been talking to the club's official website about being nominated for the PFA's Player and Young Player of the Year awards.

Kane has had a remarkable season, with the 21-year-old on course to break 30 goals for the season in all competitions, and he currently sits top of the Premier League scoring charts with 19.

The forward said: “I’m delighted to be nominated for both awards, to have that appreciation from fellow players is a huge honour and it shows you are doing the right things.

“It’s been a hectic, crazy season with a lot of highs and this is another special moment.”

Spurs youngster Grant Ward is attracting interest from clubs overseas, according to a report by TalkSport.

Both Deportivo La Coruna and Udinese have been linked with interest in the 20-year-old, who has had loan spell at Coventry City in League One, as well as a period at MLS side Chicago Fire.
