The 26-year-old captained the young Tottenham side against Liverpool at White Hart Lane on Friday night.

The stage was set for Etienne Capoue on Friday night.
The Tottenham Hotspur midfielder has suffered from injuries but, more pertinently, a serious loss of form this season and the chance to play for - and captain - the Under-21s at White Hart Lane was his opportunity to force his way back into the first-team reckoning in north London.
His performance against Liverpool, however, may have had the reverse effect.
It certainly did as far as Spurs fans on Twitter were concerned, with none of them calling for the Frenchman to be restored to Mauricio Pochettino's side. Instead, the majority of Tottenham supporters were quite frankly slating Capoue for a 'terrible' display.
Spurs lost 3-1 to Liverpool at home, with the Under-21s side only scoring once Capoue left the field of play. It may all be a coincidence, of course, but fans sitting in the stands were far from complimentary about the midfielder's individual performance.
Another good night for Liverpool's youngsters, then, was less so for Tottenham's. Although it was perhaps a better occasion for their actual young players - just not 26-year-old Capoue.
Here's a selection of what Spurs supporters said about the Frenchman on social media:
Well least we know capoue is even terrible at u21 level. #thfc— Dan Timbrell (@Mr_Dan_Timbrell) April 17, 2015
