Scott Brown hails Leigh Griffiths's amazing turnaround

The Celtic captain is delighted with the 24-year-old.

Celtic captain Scott Brown has told reporters Leigh Griffiths is one of the best finishers he's ever seen.

The 24-year-old scored a hat-trick for the Bhoys against Kilmarnock earlier this week and Brown says 'anything' can happen when Griffiths gets the ball 20-25 yards from goal.

Celtic went 1-0 down to Killie but equalised and then saw Griffiths steal the show with a three-goal haul.

More of the same would be appreciated this weekend if Ronny Deila shows faith in him going into the Bhoys' Scottish Cup semi-final clash with Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

Things started far from perfectly this season for Griffiths, though, with the forward having to fight for his place in the Celtic side.

That has only made his captain prouder of him, however, with Brown heaping praise on the way the 24-year-old kept battling for a spot in Deila's first XI.

After his hat-trick against Kilmarnock, Griffiths admitted he needed to have a talk with boss Deila and assistant manager John Collins to get his season back on track.

It's certainly worked - and he is getting the highest of praise from his Celtic skipper.
