The Championship side lost to fellow promotion contenders Middlesbrough.
The Canaries lost ground to their promotion rivals, as Boro left Carrow Road with a 1-0 win and, while Dorrans wasn't the reason they lost, the West Brom loanee's performance disappointed a number of Norwich fans.
So too did it disappoint some of the West Brom supporters watching on Friday, as the 27-year-old underwhelmed for Alex Neil's men after being started in place of Nathan Redmond.
Particularly displeasing for the Norwich support were Dorrans' poor set-piece deliveries, with the Scot often failing to beat the first man.
West Brom have struggled since loaning the attacking midfielder out to the Canaries and some supporters may naturally have asked questions of Tony Pulis's decision to offload Dorrans on a temporary basis. Based on Friday, however, the decision was a just one - although this may well have just been an off day.
The 27-year-old has indeed been scoring for Norwich of late. Just not against Middlesbrough.
Here, then, is what both Norwich and West Brom fans made of the Scot's display against Aitor Karanka's men on Twitter:
