Marco Silvestri and Mirco Antenucci explain on Twitter why they will not play for Leeds United against Charlton Athletic in the Championship on Saturday.

Leeds United goalkeeper Marco Silvestri has taken to social networking site Twitter to reveal that he will not feature in Saturday’s clash against Charlton Athletic away from home.

Silvestri is the Whites’ first-choice goalkeeper and was expected to start the Championship encounter against the Addicks at The Valley tomorrow.

However, the 24-year-old Italian has revealed that he will not be able to take part due to an injury he suffered in the game against Norwich City at Elland Road on Tuesday.

The 2014 summer signing has also stated that he has not trained for three days and has not travelled with the rest of the squad for the game in London.

Italian forward Mirco Antenucci will also miss the game for Leeds against Charlton, and he has made it clear on Twitter that the reason is injury.

Leeds are currently 15th in the Championship table with 52 points from 43 matches. The West Yorkshire outfit have not won any of their last five games, losing the last four.
