Federico Fazio has set an ambitious points target for Tottenham Hotspur to try and achieve in their final six games on the club's official website.
Fazio wants Spurs to go unbeaten through their remaining matches, and says that they have to target taking maximum points.
Tottenham may have looked fatigued of late, but Fazio insists that the squad have the potential to beat every team that they have left to face and wants to ensure that they do not slip-up again.
“We need to think only about the last six games now and try to get 18 points," he said.
“It’s difficult, but we can do it and we have the team to do it. We’re thinking about the first step first, Sunday at Newcastle and try to get the three points there. That’s all we can do.
“We need to be positive and to be confident, that’s most important. We can win these six games, it’s possible.”
Even if Tottenham were to win every game from now until the end of the season it would be unlikely that they would make the top-four, as they have left themselves too much to do.
A recent draw with Burnley and a loss to Aston Villa have all but ended their hopes of making it into the Champions League qualification spots, and they will be playing for pride for the remainder of the campaign.
Spurs do need to get some momentum going again, though, as they look to build for next term, where they will be hoping to be more successful.
The Lilywhites have shown flashes of what they are capable of during the current campaign, but they have ultimately fallen short and Mauricio Pochettino will be under pressure to prove the club is moving forward next year.
Tottenham take on Newcastle United this weekend, where they will be hoping to start Fazio's challenge in style by taking maximum points.
