David Luiz endured a torrid time for PSG in the Champions League.

A 3-1 home defeat has given PSG a mighty challenge to progress to the semi-finals of this year’s Champions League tournament.

Neymar netted the opening goal, before Luis Suarez scored twice to seal the result, despite Jeremy Mathieu’s own goal giving the French champions some hope.

Whilst the Barca performance was a joy to behold, it was former Chelsea man David Luiz in the PSG back-line who real stole the plaudits - but not for the right reasons.

Luiz entered the fray with 21 minutes on the clock in place of international teammate Thiago Silva, and was embarrassed by Suarez.

The ex-Liverpool star twice nutmegged Luiz in the run-up to his two goals, and it was a performance that mirrored Luiz’s ridiculing during Brazil’s 7-1 collapse at the World Cup.

It once again begged the question of how he is a defender who cost €50 million, people took to Twitter in their droves to show their appreciation of Luiz as nothing more than a fantastic entertainer - and not a top class defender.
