Liverpool teenager Joao Teixeira suffered a broken leg playing for Brighton this week.
Liverpool prospect Pedro Chirivella has wished fellow teammate Joao Teixeira well after the latter suffered a broken leg playing for Brighton this week.
Brighton confirmed the news on their official website this week, after the Portuguese prospect was stretchered off in a Championship draw with Huddersfield this week.
Teixeira is not only ruled out for the remainder of this season but faces a race against time just to recover in time to play a part in Liverpool's pre-season.
It is a huge blow for the playmaker who has impressed on loan with the Seagulls this campaign. The 22-year-old has six goals and four assists in all competitions for the club, having been signed by Sami Hyypia, who was fired by Brighton after a poor run of results.
Teixeira is five years Chirivella's senior, and a player who the young Spaniard clearly looks up to. Seeing his strong progress would have been an inspiration for the former Valencia prospect, and his message shows the camaraderie between Liverpool's young stars.
Current Brighton boss Chris Hughton had earlier paid tribute to Teixeira's contribution via the club's official website, describing him as an 'important' player for the club.
