Tottenham media round-up: Falco on Kane's progress, feature links three players

Defence - Spurs v Chelsea

A selection of the latest stories in the media involving Tottenham Hotspur this Thursday afternoon.

Former Tottenham Hotspur forward Mark Falco has been talking to the Tottenham website about comparisons between himself and current striker Harry Kane.

Kane has set the Premier League alight this season with his impressive goalscoring record, which sees him tied at the top of the charts heading into the closing stages of the season.

As well as being asked to compare himself from 30 years ago to Kane now, Falco said the 21-year-old is the most improved player at the club this season.

He said: "I’m sure he will crack 30 goals soon and that’s a real achievement, perhaps it's even harder these days as well. I just hope he keeps going, quickly gets over 30 goals and pushes towards 35, that would be great.

"It’s been brilliant to see him progress. He looks like he’s enjoying it, he’s delivering on the pitch and we all hope he goes further and further."

The Daily Mail has done a feature on 10 players who may make a 'step up' in terms of moves to other Premier League clubs in the summer.

Three of the players mentioned are linked with moves to Tottenham. Southampton's Morgan Schneiderlin is valued at £25 million in the piece, along with West Bromwich Albion's Saido Berahino and QPR's Charlie Austin at £15 million and £10 million respectively. Whether any of the mooted transfer rumours, which have been widely reported in the past, come to fruition remains to be seen.
