How Celtic star John Guidetti holds fate of former Sheffield United man in his hands

Feyenoord, De Kuip

Colin Kazim-Richards will be very interested to see where Guidetti decides to head this summer.

Colin Kazim-Richards began his footballing career at Arsenal before going on to play for Bury.

From there he also played for Brighton, Sheffield United and he also had a loan spell at Blackburn Rovers in 2012-13.

Nowadays he plays for Eredivisie side Feyenoord, where he is on loan from Turkish club Bursaspor.

Now the Turkish international could hold the key to a Celtic transfer story.

Celtic currently have John Guidetti on loan from Manchester City. The Swede is a free agent in the summer and is currently considering his options.

One of those is a potential switch to Feyenoord.

Guidetti also played at Feyenoord on loan, in the 2011-12 campaign. Guidetti was a massive fan favourite during his loan spell with Feyenoord. He scored 20 goals in 23 games before it all came unstuck with a bizarre illness which attacked his nervous system and left him out of action for over a year.

Now they want him back, but according to a report in Voetbal International, the future of Kazim-Richards is pivotal in any move for Guidetti.

Feyenoord have an option to buy the Turkish star from Bursaspor, which expires on May 1st. With that in mind Feyenoord will want to know of Guidetti's plans before that date. If he agrees to join Feyenoord, Kazim will be cut adrift, if not, Feyenoord will snap him up.
