Nottingham Forest's Gary Gardner impressed his club's supporters last night after an excellent performance in the heart of the Reds' midfield.
Forest may have lost 3-1 to Watford, but Gardner stood out after scoring a fine free-kick to cap off an excellent display in the centre of the pitch.
HITC analysed his performance in-depth earlier today and Forest fans have been quick to praise Gardner on social media site Twitter.
The 22-year-old has become one of Dougie Freedman's side's main players since signing on loan from Aston Villa and they will be desperate to keep him next season.
Doing so could be difficult, though, as Villa are sure to have been impressed by his form down in the Championship.
He appears to have all the credentials to make an impact at the top level and Gardner will be hoping to continue to make his claim for a first-team place back at his parent club over the rest of the season.
Forest have just three games left to play and appeared destined to finish in a mid-table spot, after what has been a disappointing campaign.
Here is the best reaction from Forest fans to Gardner's performance last night:
really home we can get @22Gards next season, unlikely but he's been a key player for weeks— courtney (@nicolecourtneey) April 16, 2015
@22Gards can honestly say you have been a star for us nice to see someone playing for the shirt as you have been— Richard.T.Hall (@RichT_Hall) April 15, 2015
