Former England boss Glenn Hoddle has told HITC that he feel Alexis Sanchez has been Arsenal's best player this season.
Hoddle, who departed his role as QPR first team coach earlier this year when Harry Redknapp left, told HITC via e-mail that the Chilean has especially impressed him.
"That would without a doubt be Sanchez, his first year as a Premiership player was very influential for Arsenal.
"He is an asset to a manager as he can play in many positions."
Sanchez signed from Barcelona in the summer transfer window after the World Cup, and took no time at all in settling into life in England.
He has scored 14 Premier League goals, the same number as Olivier Giroud, and has eight assists - a figure matched only by Santi Cazorla.
Since 2015 began, Giroud and Mesut Ozil have stepped up, with Sanchez netting only four of his 14 goals in the new year, including an impressive strike against Liverpool.
It has allowed him to catch a breather and allowed Arsenal to flourish without depending on him to pull them out of trouble.
Hoddle's assertion about Sanchez's versatility is illustrated by data via whoscored.com. He has made four starts in striker role, and four in the hole behind the centre-forward.
16 appearances have come from the left flank, and 11 from the right, and the beauty of it has been he has maintained his performance level wherever he has played.
Sanchez is not the only strong performer this season for Arsenal, with Santi Cazorla outstanding, and Francis Coquelin and Olivier Giroud terrific for a long stretch already in 2015.
