To be played on Saturday 18th April 2015 at 15:00. Venue: Ewood Park, Blackburn
Odds: Blackburn 1/1, Draw 23/10, Forest 11/4
Pre-season dreams of a top-six finish and a possible push for promotion have faded for the weekend rivals, with mid-table mediocrity the unfortunate fate awaiting both.
Just one place and a solitary point will separate the two teams at kick-off, so they are locked in a mini-battle for ninth spot.
Neither have been in fantastic form of late, though, with Rovers drawing their last two and collecting just one win in five.
Forest, following a bright start to life under Dougie Freedman, have been even more inconsistent in recent weeks, with one point taken from the last 15 on offer.
Performances from the Reds have not been as bad as results suggest, but they are rather limping their way towards the summer.
Freedman has, however, been handed a two-year extension to his contract, allowing him to plan a little more long-term, and will want to take a close look at all of those at his disposal before reshaping his ranks.
The same can be said for opposite number Gary Bowyer, who will be bracing himself for another busy transfer window in which he must look to add while fending off reported interest in his most saleable assets.

“The games that we've let slip this season have been costly to us in terms of what we have wanted to do. We have to start now to make sure that it doesn’t repeat itself in the next four games as we’ve got to come out of the traps next season ever so fast.”

“I am here for two more years and there is an option in there to extend it again, if the club want to. You cannot look too far. But it is nice for the players to know who they will be working with, for the next couple of years.”
