Spanish media react to superb Luis Suarez double against PSG

The Uruguayan struck twice for Barcelona and was in stellar form, as his side put PSG to the sword in the Champions League.

Whilst it might have come against a PSG side missing notable stars, such as Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Thiago Motta and Marco Veratti, there was no doubting the quality of the display from Barcelona.

The Catalan side romped to a 3-1 first-leg victory at the Parc des Princes, with Neymar opening the scoring after a lethal counter-attack, Lionel Messi sliding through a lovely pass for the Brazilian to strike.

However, it was former Liverpool striker, Luis Suarez, who went on to steal the show for Barcelona, with arguably his most devastating performance to date.

In the 67th minute, the Uruguayan wonderfully nutmegged David Luiz, then skipped challenges from Marquinhos and Maxwell, before striking a precise finish the PSG 'keeper couldn't quite stop.

David Luiz would again be punished by Suarez, after a great one-two with Mascherano put the 28-year-old through, crowning the night with a fantastic finish into the top corner.

A memorable display from Suarez on every level, not least his goals, which left the leading Spanish media outlets, effusive in their praise...

Diario Sport: "Luis Suarez opens the doors to the semi-finals"

Mundo Deportivo: "Luis Suarez conquers Paris."

Marca: "An artist in Paris - What a pair of 'golazos' by Suarez!"

Diario AS: "Luis Suarez is crowned in Paris."
