Manchester United are eyeing a move for Sami Khedira, report The Sun.
It is claimed the Red Devils are looking at the Real Madrid midfielder who is out of contract this summer and available on a free transfer.
The paper reference competing interest from Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea and in his native Germany but believe United are serious about a move.
The report claims Khedira would be willing to accept wages of around £150,000 per week from United, which is half the figure earned by captain Wayne Rooney.
Khedira claimed that David Moyes' United tried to sign him in 2013 only for a move to be blocked by manager Carlo Ancelotti, reported ESPN.
Last season he was part of Brazil's World Cup winning squad, but injury wrecked his campaign with Real Madrid.
This year he has struggled to establish himself as a regular starter at Madrid and appears keen on a new challenge, refusing to sign a new deal.
He is a defensive midfielder who would help enable United to get the best out of their array of attacking talent, and is currently one of the most coveted free agents-to-be in Europe.
