Could Manchester United still have plans to keep Radamel Falcao?
The Red Devils have produced a poster advertising their upcoming 2015 summer tour featuring the Colombian, even though his loan agreement means he is scheduled to return to AS Monaco at the end of June.
United travel to the USA ahead of the 2015/16 season, and the club confirmed via their website they will soon be releasing ticketing information.
The decision to include Falcao is a little peculiar given his lack of impact on loan makes him a candidate not to be retained.
He has just four goals this season and has regularly been out of the starting line-up over the past two months.
The striker has failed to live up to his big reputation, and is likely to cost a hefty fee, yet United could still look to re-negotiate at a lower price in the hope he comes good, and to prevent him signing for a rival.
Falcao could of course be long gone by time tour kicks off, and an alternative poster may yet be produced with another player as his replacement. Yet it's intriguing that he figures rather than striker Robin van Persie, who has been injured in recent weeks, but has a permanent contract at the club, even if it expires in a year's time.
Could it be a ploy to shift ticket sales among Latin Americans, perhaps, but United would have to retain Falcao on their books in order to not let down the fans who buy on this basis.
