Aston Villa utility man Kieran Richardson has told the club's official site that Tom Cleverley and Fabian Delph are both 'great assets' for the Claret and Blues.
The central midfield duo have been pivotal to Villa's resurgence under Tim Sherwood and Richardson clearly thinks they are very talented players.
He says that they will be key against Liverpool, in the club's FA Cup semi-final at the weekend, and he believes they have the quality needed to give Villa a solid footing in the match.
"We have great assets in that central midfield - the likes of Fabian Delph and Tom Cleverley," he said.
"It should be a great battle in there and one we're eager to win."
If Villa's squad all have the same opinion of Richardson then it shows just how much of a boost tying down Delph was for the club earlier in the season.
Delph signed a new long-term deal at Villa Park at the start of the year and it seems that his future is secured.
Cleverley's, however, is far less certain. The midfielder is currently on loan at Villa from Manchester United and it is unknown whether Sherwood will try and complete a permanent deal for the England international in the summer.
Cleverley has been impressive in recent months, but a slow start to his Villa career may have put the club off making his stay long term, even if Richardson thinks he would be a worthwhile addition to the squad.
