The defender signed a new deal with the club earlier today.
Crystal Palace made a good signing today, securing the services of Joel Ward. The full-back has been a magnificent signing for the club, ever since he switched from Portsmouth in 2012.
He has signed a contract extension until the summer of 2018 and Palace fans will no doubt be pleased.
He has fully deserved the new deal. He has played in every minute of Palace's current Premier League campaign and that has now been fully rewarded.
He has now been congratulated by a team-mate, one who cannot currently buy a game at Selhurst Park, largely because of Ward.
Peter Ramage, also a defender, has not played a game for Palace since August 2013 and has spent the last two seasons out on loan at Barnsley.
But he was more than happy to congratulate the defender on his new deal, with this post on Twitter:
Palace fans were obviously pleased with the deal, for good reason.
Ward was recently linked with a move to Southampton, as reported by the Mirror and the fact he has now committed his future to Selhurst Park, will certainly have Palace fans giddy.
