Chelsea media round-up: Hughes keen on permanent Moses deal

A round up of morning news stories related to Chelsea.

The Daily Express has reported that Stoke City boss Mark Hughes is determined to sign Victor Moses on a permanent deal.

The wide man has been playing on loan for Hughes so far this season and could now be facing a move away from Stamford Bridge long term.

Hughes claims that Moses is always going to be vulnerable to injury problems because of the sort of player he is.

“Because he is an explosive player, the hamstring is always a danger and so he will always be a bit susceptible to those kind of injuries. But that won’t affect my thinking,” said Hughes.

Manchester United defender Daley Blind has warned Chelsea that his side are fighting for the title, as quoted by the Daily Telegraph.

United have been in fine form in the last few weeks to solidify their position in the top four.

United are currently eight points behind the Blues who sit top of the table and have the chance to extend their lead with a game in hand.

“We don’t have to watch Chelsea. We have to watch for our own games. We have to look at ourselves because every game is a final,” said the Dutchman.

The Daily Mail has reported that Chelsea are one of the only clubs Emmanuel Adebayor would leave Tottenham for.

The striker has struggled to get any game time under Mauricio Pochettino this year and will most likely be moved on in the summer.

The paper claims that the forward has netted around £3.4 million in wages since he last started a game.
