Tottenham Hotspur supporters are hoping that the club can sign Southampton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin this summer, judging by the comments posted on this site.
HITC covered news of Mauricio Pochettino's summer plans yesterday and Spurs fans were quick to give their suggestions as to who the Lilywhites should sign.
There was a wide range of opinions, but Schneiderlin's name was one which consistently was mentioned - with most Tottenham fans feeling he would enhance the quality of their starting line-up considerably.
Spurs have been long-term admirers of Schneiderlin and tried to complete a deal for the Southampton man last summer, according to a report in the Telegraph, but they could not force through the transfer.
Spurs fans seem to hope that the club will be able to get the deal over the line in the upcoming transfer window, though, after Schneiderlin's consistently excellent performances in the heart of Southampton's midfield this term.
If the Frenchman was to join Spurs he would be in competition with the likes of Ryan Mason and Nabil Bentaleb for a place in Pochettino's first-team.
Here are some of the comments from Spurs fans on who they would like the club to sign this summer.
Nathan Phillips would like Spurs to sign: "Tyrone Mings, Kevin Wimmer, Nathaniel Clyne, Danny Ings, Alexandre Lacazette. And if possible bring in Morgan Schneiderlin.
RB's list was also similar, he said: "In - Benteke,, Depay, Schederlin (although all probably end up at Man U ) Ings, Ribiot, Wimmer, Nathan Redmond (Norwich) Berahino, Aldereiweld, Basically need a couple of new centre halves a better holding midfielder at least one winger and some help for Kan upfront.
Aiden Phillips, meanwhile, was hoping for a simple list: "Soccer is still a simple game. We lack decent wingers and strikers."
Vas had some other suggestions: "I'd sign Depay, Ings, Bolasie, Bentekke, Schar, maybe Shawcross.."
Phil, meanwhile, was seemingly another advocate of the Schneiderlin signing citing a lack of cover in midfield as a problem: "In midfield we have only really got Stambouli who can come in, Capoue, Paulinho and Dembele have all looked poor."
