Southampton-owned Lloyd Isgrove wants to score for Sheffield Wednesday

Sheffield Wednesday 2

Southampton-owned youngster Lloyd Isgrove is determined to break his duck for Championship outfit Sheffield Wednesday.

Sheffield Wednesday winger Lloyd Isgrove has told the club’s official website that he wants to score his first goal for the club as soon as possible.

The 22-year-old moved to Wednesday on loan from Premier League outfit Southampton in March until the end of the season.

The youngster has already made four appearances in the Championship for the Owls, creating one chance and winning nine out of 12 tackles in the process.

However, Isgrove has yet to score his first goal for Wednesday, and that is what he wants to do next.

“I’ve settled in really well and feel like I’ve been here all season really,” the youngster told the Sheffield-based club’s official website.

“I feel like I’ve played well, but there is more to come. I haven’t scored my first goal yet and that is something I want to put right.”

Isgrove will get the chance to break his duck for Wednesday tonight, when Stuart Gray’s side host Brentford in the Championship.

Wednesday will head into the clash at Hillsborough placed 13th in the league table with 55 points from 42 matches, while Brentford are just a place below the playoff spots.

It does not promise to be easy game for the Owls, but playing at home will certainly give them an advantage, which Isgrove should look to make the most of to score his first goal for his on-loan club.
