Sergiu Bus has impressed his Sheffield Wednesday teammate Caolan Lavery.

Sheffield Wednesday forward Caolan Lavery has been singing the praises of teammate Sergiu Bus in The Star.

Forward Bus joined Wednesday from Bulgarian outfit CSKA Sofia in the January transfer window and has made five appearances in the Championship so far.

In those five matches, the 22-year-old has scored one goal and created four chances, while having a pass accuracy of 77% and a shot accuracy of 100%.

The best is yet to come from Bus, but Lavery insists that he is enjoying playing alongside the Romanian and backs him to be a huge success next season.

“I think there is more to come from Sergiu [Bus] and think we will see the best of him next season,” Lavery told The Star.

“He came in January and it’s always difficult for overseas players to come over here and try and adapt to the game because it’s a different playing field all together… I enjoyed playing alongside Sergiu. He likes to take players on which is brilliant.”

Bus is a young player and he is still settling in at Wednesday, and indeed a good pre-season will help him for the 2015-16 campaign.

The former CFR Cluj youngster has already shown his potential, and although there is a lot to improve upon, there is every possibility that he would make himself a regular for Wednesday next season.

The Owls will be aiming for the Championship playoffs next season, and Bus will be looking to play a key role in that.

Wednesday have improved from last season, and next campaign, they will be determined to raise their game.
