Aston Villa manager Tim Sherwood has told the club's official site that his side have finally found the formula that will keep them up.
The Villa boss believes that his side's performance during their 1-0 win against Tottenham Hotspur at the weekend shows that everything has begun to fall into place at Villa Park.
Sherwood says that Villa have finally found the quality required to keep them above the drop and he is now optimistic for the future.
"It was a little bit of quality and guidance that was needed in a pressure cooker situation. I think we've found that," he said. "You saw that at White Hart Lane.
"I think they really do believe that we've got the quality. They look around the dressing room and they see they've got their mate who is willing to put his body on the line for himself and the other lads. We've got all the ingredients but there's still a lot of hard work to be done."
Will Villa avoid the drop?
Villa are now six points clear of the relegation zone and as long as they do not take their foot of the gas it does seem that Sherwood will guide them to safety.
The former Tottenham Hotspur manager has managed to enhance Villa's attacking threat and they look a considerably better team for it.
In truth, Villa always did appear to have too much quality to go down, but their form under Paul Lambert was worrying and the job Sherwood has done can only be admired.
They now have a considerable gap over the bottom three and with their form and performances starting to look impressive, Villa should start looking up rather than down.
