Stat: Aaron Lennon achieves feat at Everton never done at Tottenham

The Spurs winger has netted in consecutive away games for the first time in his career.

Aaron Lennon has reminded Tottenham fans his unique skillset since laving White Hart Lane to join Everton on loan.

The diminutive winger scored again in Everton’s draw away to Swansea at the weekend, following on from his strike at Loftus Road against QPR.

As can be seen below, Lennon’s goalscoring exploits in Everton’s recent clashes have set a new record, with the attacker netting in consecutive away games for the first time in his career.

With Mauricio Pochettino still struggling to find his ideal choice on the right-hand side of his 4-2-3-1 formation, there is a real case that Lennon should be in the first-team mix at Spurs.

With Andros Townsend and Erik Lamela not convincing fully, Lennon has put forward a case to be reinstated at Tottenham next season.

Importantly, Lennon has scored more goals in open play since joining Everton in January than Townsend or Lamela have throughout the entire campaign.

It appears that the loanee has won over the Goodison Park fans and the Merseysiders may well look to seal a permanent deal for the winger this summer, compounding Tottenham’s mistake.
