Cesc Fabregas’s late goal proved enough for Chelsea to defeat Queens Park Rangers 1-0 at Loftus Road in the Premier League on Sunday.

Chelsea inched closer to the Premier League title as they got the better of Queens Park Rangers away from home on Sunday.

Jose Mourinho’s side were expected to win the London derby at Loftus Road with ease, but they had to rely on a late goal from Cesc Fabregas to pick up the three points.

The former Barcelona and Arsenal midfielder’s strike in the 88th minute proved to be the difference between the two sides, as Chelsea won the contest 1-0.

Over the course of the 90 minutes, Jose Mourinho’s side had 60% of the possession, took nine shots of which only one was on target, and earned six corners.

Fabregas himself took shots, had a pass accuracy of 74%, attempted two dribbles, and made one clearance and two blocks.

The London derby triumph means that Chelsea are now seven points clear at the top of the Premier League table with a game in hand.

The Blues have collected 73 points from 31 matches, while their nearest challengers Arsenal have picked up 66 points from 32 games.

Below are the best pictures of Fabregas celebrating what could prove to be a key win for Chelsea in the quest to win the Premier League title this season.
