A selection of the latest stories involving Tottenham Hotspur in the media this Monday evening.
The club's chances of qualifying for next season's Champions League suffered a blow as they slipped to seventh in the Premier League, and Chadli states that he would like to see a response when they travel to the North East to take on Newcastle United next week.
Christian Benteke's goal was enough to give Tim Sherwood's men a win on his return to the club he took charge of last season, and used to play for - boosting Villa's Premier League survival hopes.
Chadli bemoaned the lack of chances Spurs created on the day, and said: “We have to improve a lot, we have to get better in every sector as a team and everybody as individuals has to play a better game.
“This match shows we are not in good form and we have to respond next week at Newcastle.”
One man who is on Tottenham's books, but not currently in the squad, is winger Aaron Lennon as he moved to Everton on loan in the winter transfer window.
Lennon has been impressive for Everton lately, and there are suggestions he could make his loan move to Goodison Park a permanent one.
Toffees' boss Roberto Martinez is quoted by FourFourTwo full of praise for the England international, suggesting he slotted right into their team, and that it's as if he's been with them for a lot longer.
The Spaniard said: "The impressive thing about Aaron is he does not look like a loan player, he looks like he has been playing for Everton for many, many years and that is a very important sign.
"What we now want is for Aaron to carry on pushing, carry on enjoying his football, carry on keeping his place in the side and making sure he enjoys his time with Everton."
