Chelsea continued to move closer to the Premier League title as they got the better of Queens Park Rangers away from home on Sunday.
The former Barcelona and Arsenal midfielder’s goal in the 88th minute proved to be the difference between the two sides, as Chelsea won the contest 1-0.
Over the course of the 90 minutes, Jose Mourinho’s side had 60% of the possession, took nine shots of which only one was on target, and earned six corners.
Hosts QPR had 40% of the possession, took 15 shots of which four were on target, and earned five corners.
The London derby triumph means that Chelsea are now seven points clear at the top of the Premier League table with a game in hand.
The Blues have collected 73 points from 31 matches, while their nearest challengers Arsenal have picked up 66 points from 32 games.
